Wendy Dobson (visiting fellow in 1990-91) is professor and director of the Institute for International Business at the University of Toronto. Between 1981 and 1987 she was president of the C.D. Howe Institute. From 1987 to 1989, Dr. Dobson served as Associate Deputy Minister of Finance in the Canadian government. She is coauthor of World Capital Markets: Challenge to the G-10 (2001) with Gary Clyde Hufbauer and Financial Services Liberalization in the WTO (1998) with Pierre Jacquet; author of Economic Policy Coordination: Requiem or Prologue? (1991) and Fiscal frameworks and financial systems in East Asia: How much do they matter? (University of Toronto Press, 1998); and coeditor of Multinationals and East Asian Integration (1997) with Chia Siow Yue.
